Charley Maxey - Pastoral Intern

In your own words describe what you do at Harvest.

I’m a Pastoral Intern with a focus on outreach ministries. I’ll get to learn and help in most avenues of the church in some capacity, but my primary role is to help mobilize our people to serve and love the community around us.

Why did you want to be on Staff at Harvest?

I think Harvest has an amazing God-centered staff, so seeing an opportunity to come onboard here and learn from people who are likeminded and have the same mission was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up on.

What experience, education, and/or work background do you bring with you to  Harvest?

I have a degree and a year of work experience in Civil Engineering, but the greatest education I’ve had is watching my father work in full time ministry for basically my entire life. It helped lead me to pursue many leadership roles while in college and now to follow that passion here.

What are you most passionate about when it comes to ministry?

Jesus tells His disciples that He only does that which his Father tells him to do. I think I am most passionate about walking in God’s unique plan for my life and pursuing everyday as a ministry as I go. No one else has your life, so no one else has your opportunity.

If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you want to go and why?

I have never been to Africa and my favorite animals are elephants, so probably Kenya.

What's your favorite sport, or sports team?

Chelsea FC (Come on you Blues!!!)
